The 4 Unmentionables is a play on the 4 boundless Brahmaviharas, called the four immeasurables — 4 beautiful places the heart can dwell. We are calling attention to 4 areas of life that are rarely mentioned or included in dharma/mindfulness teachings. Come join us and be a part of a dialogue about what is difficult to discuss from 3 different teachers across generation, class and culture.
This is a new series, in a new format. we understand not all of the topics will be relevant for everyone; so feel free to choose to sign up for one afternoon daylong practice with one of the Unmentionables or sign up for all 4 afternoon day long practices in the series.
This series begins on December 31st at Sunday Sitting Group from 10-12. Immediately following will be the lunch break (12 -1) Please bring a bag lunch. The afternoon session will begin promptly at 1pm and end AT 3:30pm. Here we will deepen our listening practice and cultivate ways of bringing self-compassion and tenderness to important subjects which are too often avoided, considered taboo and off limits.
Through practice we grow in agency and freedom by naming what is in the field of awareness without judgement or shame; join Trudy, Joslyn and Sydney, December 31st, to discuss sex, and the productive and destructive energies of this basic human expression.
