Forgiveness is an essential quality of the heart. In this day of practice, we’ll explore the scope of forgiveness, when it is appropriate, what it is, and what it is not. The choice to forgive is brave and noble, whether we choose to forgive ourselves or others. Often it is life itself that calls for our forgiveness when things turn out to be different from what we wanted. Instead of taking refuge in resentment or bitterness, mindfulness empowers us to cultivate loving awareness of the beauty and kindness in our lives.
