Please join me for a Daylong of practice at InsightLA on the theme of “Dancing with Fear: Finding Courage in the Midst of Discouragement.”
By making friends with discouragement instead of letting it control us, we can behave beyond it and tap into the source of our courage. The word courage comes from the Latin word ‘cor’, heart. It takes courage to acknowledge that we feel disheartened or vulnerable in the face of what’s happening. The heart becomes stronger when we voluntarily face the things we fear most; we realize our connection to all beings in this way. This is the courageous, heartful work — taking step after brave step towards fearlessness in each moment.
Being fearless doesn’t mean being unafraid; it means being awake. It means learning how to face discouragement with mindfulness and compassionate courage. You are bigger than your fears. Come sit with us, and see — you have more courage than you think!
